NextDen is a free, student-built tool that helps members of the Northeastern University community discover housing and contact each other directly. It is a discovery and connection layer only — not a marketplace. We do not process payments, host messaging, or handle leases. We make no money from students, and we don't plan to.

NextDen is an independent, student-built project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Northeastern University.

NextDen is for people with a verified @northeastern.edu email address. Posting a listing or a roommate profile requires a verified account. Don't share your account or use someone else's.

When you post a listing or roommate profile, you confirm the information is accurate and that you have the right to share it. The contact method you provide is shown to other verified Northeastern users when they choose to reveal it (click-to-reveal). By posting, you consent to that. You can remove your listing or profile, or delete your account, at any time from your account page.

This is important. NextDen does not verify listings, residents, brokers, identities, prices, or availability, and is not a party to any rental, lease, deposit, payment, or other transaction between users or with a broker. We don't inspect properties or vet the people you meet through the platform.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, NextDen and its student creators are not responsible for any loss, fraud, scam, dispute, injury, or damages arising from listings, contacts, communications, or transactions you find or make through the service. The service is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind.

Protect yourself: verify who you're dealing with, never send a deposit or payment before viewing a place in person, and be cautious with anyone who pressures you to pay quickly. If something looks like a scam, use the “Report” option on the listing.

Housing discrimination is prohibited. Do not post content that expresses a preference, limitation, or discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, familial status, disability, or any other protected class. We don't collect or filter by gender or any protected characteristic.

Don't post false, misleading, or unlawful content; don't scrape, spam, or attempt to access data that isn't yours; and don't misuse other users' contact information. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.

We may update these Terms. When we make a material change we'll ask you to accept the new version before continuing. You can delete your account and your data at any time from your account page.
